  • 560g Beef mince
  • 360g Pasta
  • 420g Canned tomatoes
  • 1 onion Brown onion
  • 2 carrots Carrot
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 60g Parmesan

Method

  1. Prep the ingredients Set out beef mince, pasta, canned tomatoes, onion, carrot, garlic and parmesan. Wash, trim, and chop onion, carrot and garlic before heating the pan. Measure canned tomatoes and parmesan.
  2. Cook the pasta Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil and cook the pasta until just tender. Drain, saving a small mug of cooking water.
  3. Cook the base Heat a large pan over medium heat and cook beef mince with onion, carrot and garlic until browned or softened.
  4. Make the sauce Stir in canned tomatoes and simmer for 8-12 minutes until thickened and evenly mixed.
  5. Combine Fold the pasta through the sauce. Add a splash of pasta water if the sauce needs loosening.
  6. Serve Finish with parmesan, then divide into bowls while it is still hot.
