  • 520g Beef mince
  • 340g Pasta
  • 1 zucchini Zucchini
  • 380g Canned tomatoes
  • 1 onion Brown onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic

Method

  1. Prep the ingredients Set out beef mince, pasta, zucchini, canned tomatoes, onion and garlic. Wash, trim, and chop zucchini, onion and garlic before heating the pan. Measure canned tomatoes.
  2. Cook the pasta Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil and cook the pasta until just tender. Drain, saving a small mug of cooking water.
  3. Cook the base Heat a large pan over medium heat and cook beef mince with zucchini, onion and garlic until browned or softened.
  4. Make the sauce Stir in canned tomatoes and simmer for 8-12 minutes until thickened and evenly mixed.
  5. Combine Fold the pasta through the sauce. Add a splash of pasta water if the sauce needs loosening.
  6. Serve Toss once more, then divide into bowls while it is still hot.
