Ingredients

  • 500g Chicken breast
  • 100g Cheese
  • 300g Brown rice
  • 2 tomatoes Tomatoes
  • 110g Baby spinach
  • 18ml Olive oil

Method

  1. Prep the ingredients Set out chicken breast, cheese, brown rice, tomato, spinach and olive oil. Wash, trim, and chop tomato and spinach before heating the pan. Measure cheese and olive oil.
  2. Cook the base Cook brown rice according to the packet directions, then let it steam off for a few minutes so the bowl is not watery.
  3. Prepare the protein Cook chicken breast in a pan until browned and cooked through, then rest for a minute before serving.
  4. Prepare the vegetables Chop tomato and spinach into bite-sized pieces so every forkful has a mix of textures.
  5. Season the bowl Drizzle olive oil over the warm ingredients and season with salt and pepper before assembling.
  6. Assemble Divide brown rice, chicken breast, and vegetables between bowls, then add cheese.
  7. Serve Serve warm, checking that each bowl has a balanced mix of protein, vegetables, and base.
